Acquisition of the former Safeway Supermarket and car park. Planning was approved for a major mixed-use scheme comprising 30,000 sq ft of ground floor commercial space and 208 residential apartments on the upper floors. The regeneration secured the future of the famous Roman Road Market, and provided a new supermarket for local residents, subsequently let to Tesco.
